Store Opening Photography in Brussels — Balzac Paris
Studio Tom handled store opening photography in Brussels for Balzac Paris. The French fashion brand launched its new retail space in the city. We produced the full photographic record of both the store and the opening event.
Two deliverables in one shoot
A store opening is really two briefs running at once. The first is the space itself.
That means clean, considered images of the interior, the merchandising, and the details that carry the brand. These assets have a long shelf life. They work across the website, the press kit and future campaigns.
The second brief is the event. Guests, atmosphere, the moment the doors open. However, this calls for reportage rather than posed group shots.
We shot both. Then we delivered them as separate, clearly organised sets, so the marketing and PR teams could use each for its purpose.
Store opening photography in Brussels for a French fashion house
Balzac Paris has a precise visual language. Natural light. Soft tones. An unforced elegance that runs through everything the brand makes.
Therefore the coverage had to match that language rather than impose a house style on top of it. So we worked with the daylight in the space. We kept the treatment restrained. And we let the product and the architecture carry the frame.
As a result, the images read as Balzac Paris first, event coverage second.
Why retail launches need their own approach
A boutique opening happens once. Meanwhile, the space stays. That difference shapes everything about how we shoot it.
Above all, the brand needs assets it will still be using in eighteen months, not just a gallery for the week after.
Retail and event photography with attitude
From boutique openings to anniversary galas and festival activations, Studio Tom works with fashion, hospitality and lifestyle brands across Belgium and Europe. Because of that, photography, video and social media management stay under one roof. One team, end to end.
